CLUB LE BEL ÂGE IN MARIONVILLE

Le "Le Bel Âge club" was founded in 1974 by Mrs Réjeanne Bourgeois, assisted by a group of seniors in Marionville. It is part of the Fédération des aînés et des retraités francophones de l'Ontario (FARFO), where Marc Ryan is President of the Eastern Region.

"Le Bel Âge" club is for people aged 50 and over who want to socialize and stay active. Volunteering by seniors enriches the community. Friendly get-togethers are organized where people can participate in board games such as pétanque-atout, cards and bean bag games. Also, special activities such as a Christmas dinner and dance, a sugar shack meal, a corn roast are organized to bring together all generations of the community.

François Désormeaux met with club members to present his role. He is currently working on the planning and smooth running of FARFO clubs. Among other things, he is planning to rent a studio where seniors could produce podcasts. Studio 50 would allow our volunteers to create podcasts on various topics and broadcast them in order to inform and entertain seniors and retirees in Eastern Ontario. This initiative is a co-creation of Eastern Region FARFO and its affiliated clubs.

You're 50 and over! Your well-being is important! Join Le Bel Âge in Marionville to make a difference with committed people and help our community thrive.

The  « Club Le Bel Âge de Marionville » donated $1,000 in July 2024  to the Winchester District Memorial Foundation for the construction (underway)  of the new long term care health residence, “The Manor”.
